Riley Basit '20 Recruiting Profile

Being on the varsity baseball team for Westmont High School is the highlight of my high school career.  However, I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete my sophomore year when a D1 player graduated and I had to fill in for him. This experience led me to mature athletically and as a person, and also allowed me to grow my skills a solid catcher that is capable of playing college ball.

I was fortunate to be a part of a successful program, being in the regional championship for 3 straight years. Over the three years of my high school career, I've learned the value of commitment, teamwork, sacrifice, and leadership. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically and academically. I don't only think of myself having the talent to compete for a college program, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As three-sport athlete, I know that I have the leadership, work-ethic, and character on your team!
