Hello Coaches and thank you for reviewing my NCSA profile.
Since I was about 6 I have been playing baseball and I always wanted to compete at the collegiate level. I am primarily a right hand pitcher, but all through little league, Middle School and even into High School I have been able to go into any position that was needed to be filled and play it well. My sophomore year I was a floater so I played on two teams JV2 and JV. The JV2 teams needed a catcher and even though I hadn’t caught in years I stepped up and caught 6 of the games during the season. I'm both physically and mentally skilled to play any position. I can think quickly as to were the best play is.
I consider myself an off speed pitcher that has a variety pitches under my belt. During most games I like to cycle pitch using my 4-seam, circle change, slider, and splitter. I am known to play aggressive and can be a little bit chirpy and chatting up the other team. Nothing disrespectful, just some good old sportsman banter.
My Freshman year playing fall ball for my Wakegield high school team I pitched an immaculate inning, I have also pitched a no hitter game playing for Canes Northeast U15 and I was award the MVP at Firecracker Sports Clash of the Colonies Tournament July 2021. I'm known to have an arm that doesn’t quit, I have pitched back to back full games during a few tournaments pitching almost 250 pitches. That may sound like a lot to pull that off, but with icing, Tylenol and generally care for my shoulder I'm able to prevent injury.
Covid-19 was hard academically for me not being in school fulltime as I'm a visual learn, so learning mostly on a computer was not the best for me. I was very prosperous student before Covid and I have returned to that student during by Junior year making honor roll each term moving my GPA from a 2.96 to a 3.12.
Spring of 2021 I started working at a local ice cream shop where my boss has said “I’m polite, smart, have great work ethic and common sense”. Prior to that I had a paper route for 4 years. I also believe it is important to give back to my community, so for the past year I have been volunteering at my Catholic Church's monthly community dinners and September 2021 been asked to take on the role as Student Leader and I will continue to be student leader until I head to college. As student leader I am responsible for getting new volunteers trained and make sure volunteers are getting their assignments done.
Also in the spring of 2021 I joined a gym. I enjoy working out at the gym lifting, I have developed workouts that work specific muscle groups that will help improve my pitching. Because of the passion I have shown at the gym the owners have asked me to help market the gym.
I believe with my pitching skills, my understanding of the game and my leadership skills I would bring great value not only to the team, but to the school as a whole.
Thank you coach for coming across my profile and now that you know more about my skills and myself I would like to stay in contact.
