Baseball = Hard Work and Dedication
Growing up as a military kid has some great advantages but in the world of baseball, it definitely throws you some curve balls. I have loved baseball since I was a little child but when you move every two to three years sometimes in the middle of baseball season, it is really hard to find your role with a team. I have played baseball in North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Alaska, California, and Missouri and although they follow the same rules, each team played differently. Moving, switching teams and being the new kid has taught me a great deal especially how to be resilient and to never give up. Through hard work and determination, I am currently playing at Camp Community College in Franklin, Virginia. Playing at the Junior College level has pushed me to learn new skills, new techniques, and adapt to a variety of situations. The resiliency I have learned continues to push me to be a better player each day. Even though I have moved multiple times, my love for baseball has never failed. It has been the one constant in my life and I want to continue to play the game I love at a four year institution. I'm interested in a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. Switching schools can also be difficult on academics but my work ethic has also helped me perform well in the classroom. I have maintained a 3.8 GPA while playing baseball. As someone who truly understands the value of hard work, commitment and sacrifice on and off the field, I know I have what it takes to make an impact on your team.
