Baseball has been a part of my life since I can remember. From running around the field as a tee ball player at the age of four, to pitching a shutout in legion this summer, I have always enjoyed being the best teammate and player that I can be. This passion has allowed me to stay humble and always work hard on and off the field. Whether in a game, during practice, or in the weight room, I always focus on becoming a better player. This love for the game made me realize that I can reach my goal of becoming a college level baseball player.
I have several qualities that would make me an asset to any college and their baseball program. First and foremost, my dedication and work ethic in the classroom is the most important part of my future. I take great pride in my studies. This easily translates to the baseball field. I'm always working hard and increasing the skill of my game. When it comes to being a team player, I believe that this is the most critical factor of being a successful baseball player. Any good player, regardless of team or sport, should put their team before themselves. I'm always pushing my teammates to become better and keep them focused on the task at hand. Being team captain of my travel baseball club has allowed me to play a leadership role which I take very seriously. To be a captain, you must be a great teammate first. I feel like I possess those leadership qualities both on and off the field. Another good quality I feel I have is the willingness to play anywhere on the field that the team may need. As long as I can help the team produce, I will do whatever it takes.
Moving forward, I have two goals for my college experience. The first is to continue my studies to get the best education in order to have a successful future. My other is to find a college baseball program that is fit for me as much as it is for them. I look forward to finding the school where I can make the most impact on the field while advancing my studies in the classroom.
