Personal Statement

My name is Matthew Gullotti, and I am a 16 year old LHP. My dream goal is to play major league baseball, but I already know that the next step in my career is to play college ball. I give 115% on every play whether I am pitching, hitting, or fielding my position. This sport is basically life to me and I want to play for as long as I possibly can. However, I also know that academics are extremely important. If baseball doesn't work out, I would like to be in a position that keeps me close to the game, an announcer, sports caster, etc.

I am a good candidate for your baseball team because I feel that I am a natural born leader. I want to try to help out the team as much as possible, and that includes staying on the team with my academics. I understand that my education is just as important as baseball, so that's why I try to maintain my 4.0 GPA. When I am under pressure in a game situation, that just makes me want to excel that much more. Plus, even though I am a leader, I am also always open to suggestions to improve my athletic ability. I look forward to moving on to the next stage of my baseball career with you.

College Coaches Showcase Camp

The College Coaches Showcase Camp is designed for high school baseball players that want to work directly with college coaches. The event is for those players who are focused on becoming college baseball student-athletes or want to learn more about that process. The camp will feature quality instruction from active college coaches in uniform, evaluations provided by the coaching staff through the instructional process, and a Discussion on College Athletics for both players and parents. The College Coaches Showcase Camp will feature measurements and instruction on the latest metrics in baseball such as exit bat velocity, throwing velocity, running times and others. The college coaches on site will not only provide these metrics but will also instruct the campers on how to improve them. The camp is open to all high school baseball players and is restricted in enrollment. The player-to-coach ratio will not exceed 8:1. These camps are in compliance with all NCAA rules.

Mansfield University Fall Prospect Clinic

The Mansfield University Fall Prospect Clinic is designed for the high school student-athletes who are looking to play college and/or professional baseball. The focus of this clinic will be on skill development. In addition to Mansfield University’s head coach Harry Hillson, his coaching staff and players, there will be coaches from other local colleges as well as pro scouts invited. We do not guarantee any outside coaches. All players will receive a clinic t-shirt. Lunch will not be provided. A concession stand will be open all day. Come spend the day with for a great day of baseball instruction and competition against top high school players.

The DeMarini/Wilson Showcase at Slippery Rock University is open to any High School prospect looking to further their baseball career at the collegiate or professional level. This promises to be an eventful day. Players will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of collegiate and professional scouts. This showcase is open to all Div I, Div II, Div III, Junior College, NAIA, as well as Professional Clubs to attend.
