Baseball has always been a big part of my life ever since I was little, and still is now. I am a hard-working player and student and always give a 100% effort on and off the field. I believe that to get into a high level college or university, establishing a high gpa and receiving high scores on state tests is as important as being a remarkable athlete with great skills of the game. I have established a 95-99 average all throughout junior high and high school and I work hard at my studies so I can continue to be a highly educated student.
Ever since I threw my first baseball or swung my first bat, I have always been competitive. My brother and I share the same assets and compete in the same sports, so he has helped me grow into a competitive player. I am a lefty hitting and pitching player. I am a strong opposite field hitter with a keen eye at the plate and draw a lot of walks. I am a smart baserunner and make few mistakes, on the bases and in the batters box. I have a strong approach to the plate and strive to hit line drives into the gaps on the diamond. Although I have many strong assets at the plate, I am a stronger pitcher. I throw a 4-seam fastball, circle change and cutter. I am a pitcher that always gets ahead of the count so I can work in my off-speed pitches. Over the summer of 2021, I topped at a velocity of 80mph on Perfect Game as a freshman, and aim to be throwing with much more velocity in my upcoming years of travel and high school baseball. What makes me different from other recruits is that I can handle the pressure at any given moment. In tough positions and with games on the line down the stretch, I stay calm whether I am at the plate or on the mound. I just play my game and whatever the outcome is, I know I gave my best effort. I have a very supporting group of family, friends, teammates and coaches that all want to see me succeed, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish my dream of becoming a major league baseball player.
