For as long as I can remember, baseball has always been a part of me. I started playing when I was five years old and have never stopped. Through the years I have always found that baseball is constant and something that I genuinely enjoy. My Dad also played baseball, and this is something we created a strong bond through. He has been a major influence for me in many aspects of my life, but baseball has always been the strongest. I have learned about hard work and dedication-and about being part of a team. I am a coachable player who is always looking to improve on my skills by listening to my coaches and peers as well. It has always been my goal to play baseball at the collegiate level and I have been working hard to prepare for this goal, both academically and physically. Academics are a priority as well.
One important lesson that baseball has taught me is that you cannot be afraid of failure. It is how you handle the setbacks that make you the person you are going to be in the future.
