I am currently in my Senior year at Eastridge High School. I have carried a 4.0 GPA all throughout High School, and have been on High Honor Roll every quarter since the Sixth Grade. I intend to go into college to study Pre-Physical Therapy or Exercise Science, whichever the school offers. I took Kinesiology my sophomore year and since I've been interested in the understanding the human body. This year I am in 5 college level courses. These classes consist of AP Calculus, IB Biology, AP Economics, IB English 12 and College Accounting. These classes have challenged and expanded my learning as student, but have also taught me to persevere and manage my time wisely.
I finished my Varsity baseball season in the spring of 2019. This season I was named First Team All-County , as well as All Greater Rochester Honorable Mention. One week, I was named Division IV Player of the Week. This year I managed to hit 0.400 to go along 4 home runs. On the mound, I finished the year with a 3.11 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 27 innings of work. Unfortunately, my season ended early due to a season ending knee injury. It required surgery and I was not able to play this summer. However, I am a month and a half ahead of schedule in rehabilitation and plan to return to full action by Thanksgiving.
In the falls of 2018 and 2019 I was named a captain to the school's Boys Varsity Volleyball team. Not being able to play this year was a challenge, but I have used my platform and my presence on the sidelines as a positive for my teammates. I have come to see a different side of the game and it has taught me a lot the past few months.
In school, I am also involved in our schools Wind Ensemble playing clarinet. I started playing in the Fourth grade and have continued to enjoy playing music all throughout high school. Our band has won multiple competitions including my Sophomore Year in Chicago and my Junior Year in Boston.
I completed Cub Scouts and earned my Arrow of Light. I volunteer in church as an usher and greeter, and as well at the Maplewood Nursing Home with various activities for the residents there. Also being involved in National Honor Society has helped me to learn to love giving back to my community and being involved through service.
