Growing for me all starts with setting goals. This started from my final year of little league when I wanted to be the first pick, the home run derby champion, and to win the championship. Before the season I worked long hours within the cages and with my hitting coach to reach my goals. With the extra work I came short in none.Over time setting these small and big goals has allowed me to be the best athlete, scholar, and person I can be. Into my high school career setting goals and getting to them mean 2 different things to me. Being able to put in the extra work and time in the cages and weight room to reach your goals are more important than writing them down and forgetting them. Going to the open cage hours, the open lifts, and the “optional practice” will always be beneficial and is a must to reach your goal. Being able to compete at a higher level has always been a goal to me and the only way it can happen is if I continue to keep my head down and work towards it. I envision my college years as a personal and physical growth period. My goal is to pursue a Business major that will position me well for entrepreneurship or a career in sports management. I have high aspirations as a student and athlete. On the field, I plan to be a dynamic player and positive influence on the team. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my future college baseball career, I will strive to be a team leader and asset to the infield/outfield, batting lineup, and team. Most importantly, I will carry myself with pride and honor on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my family, team, my coaches, and the school I attend
