Jacob Borden '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jacob Borden, and I’d like to share a little about myself in the hopes I can interest you in reaching out to learn more. I live in Creedmoor, NC and play for Falls Lake Academy HS (2019) and Phenom Southeast/Georgia. My primary position is LHP, and when I am not pitching, I am the starting first baseman or center-fielder for my HS team and play at first base for summer showcase team. I have been playing almost forever and am very passionate about the game of baseball. I am a hardworking and dedicated player. I feel I am a leader on and off the field and try at all times to act in a way that makes my teammates, coaches, teachers and family proud of me.

I am looking for the opportunity to play for a highly competitive baseball team at a college or university with a strong academic program. While I am not 100% sure of my major, I really enjoy video editing/production and sports and most likely will pursue a degree in communications/media studies or maybe sports science/studies.  I can see myself maybe someday working in promotions for a college or professional sports team… or maybe even being a sports announcer or broadcaster. I believe I could fit in most anywhere but probably would feel most at home in a small or medium sized school in the mid-Atlantic or southeast.
