My parents and uncle introduced me to soccer when I was 3. From there it has become a major part of my life. Playing soccer has helped me grow as a person and meet new people. I have also learned versatility and adaptability by playing as striker for my high school team where I scored 26 goals in 25 games in my junior season. As a defender I like to play as a pivot and distribute the ball to the mid-fielders and wing-backs. I also enjoy winning the ball in the air off crosses or lofted through-balls.
My parents have instilled a drive for me to excel academically. At school I enjoy science, language arts, and mathematics. I am currently interested in sports medicine and physiology. My goals for high school include continue maintaining a 4.0+ GPA while taking Honors and Advanced Placement classes. My goals for college are to excel academically in the classroom and perform athletically on the field. I go to a charter-school where I am able to help out in my community. I help my church with volunteer events such as yard-work for elderly and volunteering at food banks. I find helping others to be very rewarding.
My passion for soccer and strong academics would make me a great asset for your school.
