Personal Statement

Humble, high character, but competitive, God-first student athlete who loves baseball. A player who leads by example in the classroom, in the gym, at practice, during game play, and in the dugout. Two-year varsity starter. Played varsity and middle-school baseball as an eighth grader. Versatile defensively, excellent speed, strong arm, high baseball IQ, above average bat-to-ball skills (14BB/6K in 73 PAs/53 ABs) with developing power (11 XBHs) during the 2024 Varsity Baseball Season. Selected to 2024 Raleigh Area Athletic Conference (RAAC) Varsity Baseball All-Conference team. Take advanced courses (Honors Physics (9th grade), Honors Chemistry/Honors Geometry (10th grade), Engineering Design I/II/III, Theology, and Rhetoric) to stretch myself academically as part of rigorous college-prep curriculum. Aspire to play for and strongly contribute to the success of a college baseball program where I can continue to play a sport that I am very passionate about, develop as a player, learn under experienced coaches, and make lasting relationships at a university that has a strong foundation in my majors of interest (Data Science/Computer Science/Digital Arts).

  • The Preseason All-State events have rapidly become one of the premier showcase events in North Carolina. Now in their seventh year, these events serve as a launching point for the high school baseball season, allowing Prep Baseball to identify emerging talent to monitor throughout the spring. Additionally, they play a key role in assembling the Team Carolina watchlist for prestigious events such as the Prep Baseball Future Games, Super Sophomore Games, NC/SC Border Battle, and more. These high-caliber events provide players with an opportunity to showcase their offseason development while competing alongside top talent from across the state. The Prep Baseball staff frequently observes physical transformations, increased strength and agility, and athletes achieving personal bests throughout the Preseason All-State workout. The Preseason All-State workout follows a professional, combine-style format, allowing players to record key performance metrics and analytics both on the field and in controlled athletic testing environments. While these events take place early in the year—when players are still ramping up for the season—they provide the Prep Baseball scouting staff with valuable insights into a player's current skill level and potential for growth. This year’s events commenced with pitchers and catchers participating in defensive evaluations. Catchers are given the opportunity to record full-length pop times at each hosting facility, followed by pitchers throwing controlled bullpens. TrackMan technology is utilized to capture comprehensive ball flight data, providing advanced analytics on each pitch. As bullpen sessions conclude, position players transition into athletic testing. Using VALD Performance lasers, each athlete completes a laser-timed 30-yard sprint, including a 10-yard split measurement. Players also undergo various jump tests and grip strength assessments. Following the athletic testing, infielders and outfielders participate in defensive workouts, while hitters conclude the day with live batting practice. BLAST Motion technology collects pre-contact swing metrics, and TrackMan captures detailed ball flight data off the bat. Following the event, the Prep Baseball scouting team meticulously analyzes all collected data, video, and scouting notes. This information is then distributed to college coaches, professional scouts, and baseball enthusiasts across the state who are eager to identify and track North Carolina’s top prospects

  • Prep Baseball Report (PBR) NC Fall Top Prospect Games: Upperclass (Invite-Only)
  • 11/03/24 to 11/03/24
  • Prep Baseball was at McCrary Park in Asheboro, NC on Saturday November 2nd and Sunday November 3rd for the Fall Top Prospect Games. Saturday featured the Underclass event, with players from the 2027 and 2028 classes. Sunday the 2025 and 2026 grads participated in the Upperclass event. Designed for top uncommitted players in North Carolina, there was plenty of talent on hand for each day of the event. Players opened their day with body measurements, grip strength testing, jump tests, and their offensive workout. Defensive workouts were next, with players working out at the positions of their choice, giving scouts a chance to see their movement, arm action, arm strength, and feel for the glove. Players followed their defensive testing with a laser timed 60 yard dash. VALD Performance lasers were used to capture the 60 time, plus a 10yd and 30yd split. Following the workout, players took part in a controlled scrimmage with pitchers facing live hitters. As the game concluded a "machine" scrimmage gave the hitters more at-bats and position players a ton of defensive reps. Prep Baseball scouts were on hand and will be reporting on player performance throughout November, and into the spring season.
