My name is Jackson Rainey and I’m a Senior at Cape Fear High School in Fayetteville, NC. I am currently 6' 2" and 180 lbs and still growing and developing physically. My major growth spurt has come on a little later than some of my classmates and I am definitely still growing and developing. I have a passion for baseball and play SS/2B/3B/RHP.
My collegiate goals and aspirations are to obtain a four year degree in Business Management while continuing to grow and compete in baseball. I've seen first hand the benefit of my mother and father obtaining their college degrees. I also see the tremendous pride they have in their schools and I look forward to the same experience.
What sets me apart from others is that I am an extremely hard worker and I'm never satisfied with my current skillset. I put in the time, reps, and work needed to meet my goals and play at the highest level that I feel I am capable of. If someone tells me I can't achieve something I put my head down and work until I've proven them wrong. I am a great teammate and really appreciate teammates who take the game and their performance as serious as I do. I feel that baseball and some great coaches I've played for have helped shape me as a person and helped define my character and set me up for success on the baseball field as well as in life. Hard work, 110% effort, and always doing the right thing will result in wins on the field and in life.
