My collegiate aspirations are to play for a college baseball program that best fits me athletically and academically. To me the academic component of attending college is as equally important as the athletics. As a player, I strive to help my teammates on and off the field by getting in extra practice, spending time as a team in the weight room, and building team camaraderie. I am a natural leader with a positive attitude, who is highly coachable, and is motivated to succeed even when faced with adversities. I am not afraid to work hard to achieve my goal to attend a competitive and reputable academic school with a baseball program built around structure, teamwork, and strong character.
What also makes me different from other baseball recruits is that I am a multi-sport athlete. Playing football has allowed me to increase my speed, agility, and strength which has made me a better baseball player and overall athlete. Becoming a better athlete was extremely important to me. In middle school my baseball coach told me I was "to slow", and I sat the bench most of my 8th grade season. This motivated me to put in the extra work necessary to become a better athlete. I started playing football, participating in athletic training, and spending extra time on the baseball field. As a result, I earned a starting position on my high school's junior varsity team as a freshman. The most meaningful compliments I have received from my coaches and teammates is in reference to my character and strong work ethic. It is through my character that I can be a role model to my teammates and others by leaning on my faith in God through life's ups and downs. As I enter my senior year in high school, I understand the importance of maintaining high academic standards and being the best representation of myself, my school, and my community.
My most significant athletic accomplishments was being selected to participate in the Baseball Factory Training and Tournament at the College World Series held on the campus of Iowa Western Community College. Unfortunately, this event was scheduled for June 2020 and was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Most recently I have been selected to participate in the Baseball Factory Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (July 2022) and the 2022 Baseball Factory Fall Prospects Tournament in Franklin, Texas (November 2022).
