My name is Kyle Gileta. I live in Jacksonville, North Carolina. I am currently a junior at Dixon High School in Holly Ridge, North Carolina. I am a member of the varsity soccer team, coached by Kevin Hart. I will be graduating in May 2023. I have been playing soccer since the age of 5 when my parents first enrolled me. For the past six years, I have been playing travel and school Ball. My freshmen year, I was on the junior varsity and varsity soccer team for the high school. That year we won State Championship for NCHSAA 2A and it was an experience I will never forget. I was honored to be selected by the varsity captains and coaches to be moved up to varsity because of my leadership as a freshman and highly adaptive skills of soccer in different positions.
I am currently playing club soccer with Onslow County Classic Soccer Association (OCSA), where I am a member of the 2022, Premier Division team. My primary position on the field is left defense. I have been a member of this club from 2020-present. I played travel ball with Jacksonville Soccer Association (JASA) from 2017-2020 and Coastal Area Soccer Association (CASA) from 2015-2017.
On my high school team, we play a 4-4-2. In this formation, I enjoy the position of center defense because of the leadership role. To me the center defense position is the backbone of the defense and needs a strong leader who possess leadership skills for the communicating the bridge between the offense and defense of players even if it is verbal or action with the ball.
In school, I maintain straight As in honor classes with a grade point average of 4.25. Next year as a senior, I will be continuing taking college level courses through a program that is offered by the high school. To be successful soccer player, you need to be academically challenged by accepting academics comes first and sports are second. By defining this earlier in my life, I am always able to maintain academic achievements and at the same time developing my game intelligence and physical fitness for the love of soccer.
While in college my studies will be in Accounting or Business Administration and eventually getting my Master of Business Administration (MBA). I want to play soccer throughout my college years.
