My Name is Ben Skelton, and I believe I am an excellent fit for your program. I have consistently achieved success in the classroom throughout my high school career. I would describe myself as a persistent and hard worker, who doesn’t consider myself successful until the entire team succeeds. Since the beginning of my high school career, I’ve aspired to play baseball at the collegiate level. My goal is to join a 4-year university, where I can compete for a spot on the roster as a freshman.
I am a strong candidate for your team because I possess leadership qualities, a strong work ethic, excel academically, and have a genuine love for playing baseball. My passion for this sport stems from the satisfaction it brings me when success is achieved. Baseball is a game of failure and overcoming it, and overcoming that failure is what has made me addicted. Whether it be the next at-bat or the next game I’m constantly chasing that success. I am driven by this demand of myself in my mind to achieve that success I once had. My competitiveness and genuine love for the game set me apart from the rest of my competition, and although failure may be a part of the game of baseball. I will not let failure be a part of my journey in college baseball at your institution.
Sincerely,
Ben Skelton
