Kate Fletcher '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi there!

My name is Katherine (usually known as Kate) Fletcher, and I am currently in the 9th grade. I know a few people out there may think that 9th grade is a tad bit early to be thinking about where to go to college or how I'm going to get a scholarship, but I think it's the perfect time to start! I hope you'll follow me through my tennis career for the next 4 years that I have left of high school,  to watch me grow as a player, not only in skill, but in my mentality. I play number one seed for the high school varsity team at Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, and As well as playing school tennis, I play USTA tournaments and am currently trying to lower my ranking more, just so college coaches won't roll over my application just because I have a higher(which I guess is considered lower?) ranking. This year, I won conference, was all regionals, and all state(Tying third). So like any athlete, I have a handful of things to work on before my time to leave the nest arrives, but I am willing to go the extra mile, and put in hard work to play college tennis!
