Hi - My name is Miles Johns and I am currently a freshman at Seaforth High School in Pittsboro, North Carolina. I love the game of baseball, not only because of the sport, but because I can be part of a team. I personally love to challenge myself to do better on the field and improve my performance, but I also love the competition and strategy that the game provides. I also like the opportunity to make new friends, and have made several new friends through playing the game. I've been playing baseball for several years, most recently playing for a couple of local travel ball teams. I plan to play High School ball this spring and continue travel ball late spring and summer. I consider my primary position to be catcher, but I also play shortstop. While I'm only a freshman in my first semester, I am starting to think about the possibility of playing baseball after high school. I love the idea of playing as part of a college or university team, if that is possible.
While only in my first semester of high school, my GPA is approximately 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. While I still don't know what I would like to do for my career, my favorite subject in school is science. I know that grades are important and something that my parents constantly remind me of. I also know that good grades will be important for me to be able to play at the college level, and also to be successful in life.
I am very involved in my community and try to volunteer for several local organizations like the local school parent/student/teacher association and a local school support organization.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you
Miles
