I am a quietly competitive person. I have always taken the words of those that say I cannot as words to motivate me to succeed in the goals that I set for myself. My attitude has always been to focus on these goals and keep working. In school, those goals are to achieve a GPA that allows opportunity in future education and a career. In baseball, those goals are to understand who I am as a player right now, and even more important, who I can develop into with hard work.
Baseball has not only given me an opportunity to understand work ethic, but it has also given me the ability to grow personally. It has helped me understand how to fight through challenges and become stronger from each experience. I will always appreciate my days playing baseball, the good and the bad, knowing that each experience has made me into what I am today and what I hope to be. I truly love this sport along with everything it has given me, and I look forward to taking on the future challenges it sends my way.
