Playing two concurrent sports throughout my whole life has allowed me to meet and connect with so many teammates, coaches and trainers of different backgrounds, who have had a profound impact on both my athletic abilities as well as my personal life. These people have truly helped me to become a better athlete, teammate and most importantly a better human being. It is because of this power of sport that I know my future goals are centered around being involved in the sports world in some way.
My academic goals for university is to major in either biochemistry/kinesiology, or business. Each of these pathways could lead me to some great opportunities in sport. In Sciences, I want to learn more about athletes' bodies, what athletes need to be as successful as possible, as well as how to heal the body of a high performance athlete. In business, I would like to explore the world of sports marketing, or entrepreneurial opportunities related to sports.
Throughout my time playing high level hockey and elite baseball I have learned strong ethics and interpersonal skills that will take me far in my journey ahead. Having played with different teammates throughout my 12 years I have become very empathetic and am able to understand the feelings of others in tough situations and I’m able to help them out without needing to be asked. My approachable nature and positive attitude has been an asset to my teammates resulting in trusting relationships both on and off the field. I look forward to continuing to be this person to my teammates and coaching staff while playing at the collegiate level.
