Athletically, I am involved in six high school sports teams, maintain high academic marks, and play competitive club soccer in Toronto. I surround myself with sports and athletics because I have a love for it and the community that they build. I am incredibly competitive and am always eager to take on a challenge, as I want to see just how far I can push myself. Soccer brings me the same joy that it did when I started playing at the age of 3, and I am confident it will continue to for the rest of my life.
My goal is to focus my education on engineering, most likely mechanical engineering. I have a deep love for math, science, and engineering, and I also enjoy using my creative skills to create artistic projects. While I am competitive, my true passion lies in teamwork—team effort and collective success mean more to me than individual accolades.
My upbringing has been different from that of my peers and close friends. As a student-athlete, I aspire to play soccer at the university level. However, one of my main motivations is to obtain an education that will enable me to provide a better life for my younger sister and others in her situation. My sister has severe medical and special needs, and our family has always rallied together to support her daily nursing requirements, as she is not independent. Over the past decade, I have become very comfortable in life-saving and emergency situations, particularly in caregiving roles, due to my training and experiences.
I am grateful to have been a part of several large sporting events that have taught me how to bond and work well with new people in a short amount of time. Below are some of these experiences.
At 14, I was the youngest player selected for the Canadian National Maccabi Girls team in Israel, playing with the 16-year-old team. The experience was like a mini-Olympics, and our team won a bronze medal.
Additionally, I was accepted to the Canadian National Girls squad for under-16 for the South American PanAm games in 2023, although our team couldn't participate due to capacity issues.
In 2024, I was selected for the Regional Toronto Maccabi Team to represent the Toronto region in the summer games in Detroit. Our team did well and won bronze.
