Dominic Pugliese '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Dominic Pugliese.   I have learned so many valuable life lessons by playing baseball like teamwork, perseverance, resiliency, leadership and self-discipline. One of the baseball skills that I am most proud of and complimented for is my mental game of baseball and my baseball game sense. I know the game inside and out and have great play recognition and anticipation. I am always a leader on the team and  thinking about my role on the field and at the plate and can adjust quickly to make plays.  I am also patient at the plate, and I have excellent pitch recognition. In addition to baseball, my academics are extremely important to me. I have 4.0 GPA and an above 90% average in all Academic and AP level classes and I am on the honor roll.  I was student council class president and won the Athlete and Sportsmanship award and The Principal Award for outstanding leadership and academics. Coming from Northern Ontario, I have to travel to play away from home, this has helped me to learn determination. commitment, independence, perseverance, responsibility and resilience.  I believe this has set me up to have experience with being away from home for college as well. This summer I will be playing for the Minnesota Mash 17U National Team which is a big step towards playing college baseball. I am excited about the recruitment process and I am looking forward to my collegiate baseball journey. One of my many highlights and achievements so far as baseball player are winning the 16U PBLO Championship, winning the Northern Ontario Secondary School Championship, and playing in the Provincial Championships with the Little League team in 2018.
