Connor Griffin '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Connor Griffin and I am a rising senior at Nation Ford High School in Fort Mill, South Carolina.   I have played baseball for middle school and high school as well as Showcase Baseball in Lake Norman, North Carolina.    I have spent most of my time in baseball as a catcher, but in middle school I began playing outfield and have enjoyed learning the position.  I have a dream of furthering my education by attending college while also playing baseball.  Baseball has been an important part of my life and I enjoy the team atmosphere it provides.  To be able to play this game while attending college will be a wonderful life experience. 

I have been invited to several baseball camps including Baseball Factory’s Pirate City and I was a Game Day All-Star Invite to play in the New Year’s Disney Baseball Tournament.   I was also selected as the Freshman Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 on my high school’s freshman team.  This past season I was promoted to the varsity team and started in right field.

I have always been a good- natured team player and willing to play wherever needed to improve my team’s chances to win.  Given the chance, I believe I can help any team become more competitive on the field.
