September 2021Personal Statement
I got my first glove when I was 5 and joined my first tee ball team when I was 6. My true passion for the game started when I joined my 10U majors level baseball team coached by a former left handed professional pitcher. Over the next seven seasons I worked with this coach to develop my pitching mechanics and skills to be the best I could be. I now focus almost all my time on the two things that are most important to me, school and baseball. Although. I need to get out to the fishing hole every few days to relax and catch up with friends!
I love the game of baseball, I love to pitch and I love doing anything I can to help my team succeed! I would love to find the opportunity to be part of a team where I can contribute while pursuing my education. My sister is a college athlete and I see how amazing it is for her to be a student athlete. That’s my dream!

- Big time performance from Kai Bumpas on the rubber this afternoon. The LHP dominated the opposition to the tune of 13K over 6 IP.te - "Everybody loves a good lefty on the mound, which was exactly what Texas Cannons 2024 Rumfield’s Kai Bumpas was this weekend. The 2024 uncommitted lefty from Wakeland (TX) threw ten innings of shutout ball while racking up twelve strikeouts and allowing just two hits. Bumpas has a tall and lanky build that he controls very well on the mound. He has a smooth and relaxed delivery that he makes look easy. His breaking ball acts as a sharp curveball and his changeup has an impressive drop. Both of those pitches were successful this weekend, along with his fastball. Bumpas was a dude on the hill and he should only get better from here.”
