I am passionate about baseball. It is my conviction and grit that will help me achieve my goal of playing at the next level. I am a coachable player, work hard, and I challenge myself as much on the field as I do in the classroom. Hi, my name is name is Colin Sloan and I am a utility player that mainly plays third base and centerfield. My love is baseball, but I am also a multi-sport athlete who enjoys football. I was the starting quarterback for our JV football team my Freshman and Sophomore year. I attend Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in Houston, TX. Aside from athletics, I have a 4.29 cumulative GPA, a member of the Key Club, NHS, as well as serving in multiple leadership roles for my school, and actively work in community service. I want to attend a college that will get me to the next level in sports but one that is also highly competitive in academics. I am willing to work hard and do whatever it takes to achieve my goals. I am a team player and a leader among my peers. Any setback or defeat feeds my motivation to improve. I have great sportsmanship and a prominent work ethic. I strive to get as many possible reps in practice and in my free time. I try my best in everything I do on and off the field, if it is school work or a pick up basketball game. Through all the sports I have played as a kid, baseball has always been my favorite sport. I have learned that we as humans are not perfect and as a baseball player I have failed more than I have succeeded. With every mistake, I learn from it and I don't let it get the best of me. Baseball has made me the disciplined and hardworking young man that I am today. My love for baseball shines through my passion for the sport.
