Personal Statement

My lifetime goal has been to get into a career that follows my life interests so that I can be rewarded with success after putting in the hard work required.  I feel that finding a school that is right for me and getting the opportunity to continue to play baseball in college will  strengthen me physically and mentally by giving me the tools needed in life so that I can reach my career goals. The game of baseball has played a large roll in my life since I was five years of age. It has given me lifetime friendships, lifelong learning skills, and has taught me to work hard towards my personal goals.  Throughout my baseball career, I have been looked over because of my physical size, which limited my playing opportunities at the higher levels. After being passed by my fellow classmates that I have played with all my life, I worked harder than ever to put on strength to compete at the varsity level my teammates were at. Before my 2022 spring season, I worked with my club pitching coach and my physical trainer which allowed me to increase my fastball velocity from 70 mph to 81 mph. I became one of the hardest throwing pitchers on my team, and received the most improved player award from the previous year. However, this past summer I wasn't able to pitch due to a UCL strain I received in my first club practice. I am going to be getting back on the mound the week of October 17th as my rehab work is done.  I will be filming a skills video with my pitching coach, Nate Lukas.  Despite the injury, however I did play all summer as a extra hitter and hit .294 on my club team. My hope is to find a future coach that is willing to take a chance on a player that is still growing physically in the game of baseball at a school that is a fit for me.  Thank you for your consideration.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
