Although I have played many sports and have lived a very active childhood, volleyball has been the one sport to stick with me. Volleyball is something that I have had a growing passion for since I started playing in 4th grade. I know that I cannot just be putting time in on the court during games and practices. I am always making sure that I am fueling my body properly with foods that will help me recover and maintain energy. I also ensure that even when volleyball slows down my body still stays in shape. By moving or working out for at least 30 minutes a day by going on a run, doing dance cardio, or just some yoga to keep me flexible.
Apart from staying in shape for volleyball I also like to ensure that my performance in school is always at its best. I like to challenge myself by taking honors and AP classes and make sure that my grades are as good as they can be. I know that academics always come before volleyball, but I manage my time so that I can keep improving both academically and physically. I have always enjoyed learning about history and it is my favorite subject in school as of right now. I also enjoy learning about computer science and the way technology works.
Outside of sports and school I enjoy going hiking with my friends, reading, baking, cooking, and watching movies in my free time. I like to make sure that I keep my mental health up by listening to myself if I feel that I may need a day of relaxing. I ensure that I have a healthy balance between spending time with friends and family and working on academics and athletics. I also make sure that I have a positive impact wherever I go and that I am a good role model to those around me.
