My name is Drew Biber, I am a 6’ 5” 215lb Guard/Small Forward from Cedarburg WI. I will graduate in the class of 2021. Coaches, teachers, parents and friends have often described me with a level of determination, drive, and ability in the game of basketball - like none other. I have been an avid basketball player, enthusiast, and teammate for the past eleven years. If I’m not outside strengthening my shots with continuous reps, at practice with my team, 1x1 with my trainer, I am watching YouTube videos of game plays. I live for the sport of basketball.
I was fortunate to make Varsity Basketball as a Freshman and played starting Shooting Guard 95% of the time (entire game) throughout the season. It was amazing to play for the legendary Cedarburg High School coach, Tom Diener. He told the news graphic that he wasn’t sure I would be a starter on the team pre-season, but stated I showed up from day one extremely focused. He saw my passion and emotion within each game. He noticed how I would play within myself.
AAU has been part of my athletic resume for the past four years. I played “up” for two years with Higher Level Camps based in Fond Du Lac, WI. Last year I was recruited the Blizzard out of Appleton, WI. I was also asked to play for another AAU team that was newly created, The Crusaders. It was challenging juggling both teams with practices and games, however, my skills as a player greatly enhanced.
Alongside being an athlete, I strive to continue the pursuit of academic excellence throughout high school sustaining my current 3.9 cumulative GPA. I appreciate the importance of a strong education in order to be recognized by college coaches. I am self-motivated to lead by example in the classroom that also extends to my teams.
My career goals beyond college are to be a designer or engineer (due to my love of Math, Art, and Design) or possibly a major in Sports Management.
