Gavin Theis '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a Senior at Lake Country Lutheran High School in Hartland Wisconsin.  I am a very self-motivated, student athlete.  I have always been one to "go the extra mile" both in the classroom and on the field.   I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old and have competed 2 years above my age level for the majority of those years.  I began playing baseball with our local rec department, and competed with a Select/Traveling team beginning at age 7.  This summer will be my 12th year of playing for the Rockets Select Baseball Team.  At LCL, I participate in basketball and currently am on the baseball team.

I am a strong student and very diligent with my studies.  I attended a very small Christian grade school and now a smaller high school.  I truly believe that the smaller school environment gave me a very individualized, excellent education.  As a student/athlete, I have had to learn strong time-management skills, as well as strong study habits to achieve success in the classroom.  Although I do not have a firm vision of my collegiate future, I do know that I want to attend college for my "life after baseball".  

I am currently 6'3", 178 lbs.  I am the starting short stop for my Varsity team and also pitch. In addition to my studies and sports, I have been very involved with our select baseball organization to mentor and coach our younger players.  I enjoy working with the younger players in our program.

I truly believe in putting in 100% effort both on/off the field.  It is my goal to have the chance to show you that in the future!
