Mikayla Lighty '27 Recruiting Profile

Dance and cheer have been my passion since I was young. I have 11 years of experience in tumbling. I was able to start cheer at the age for six and now have almost nine years of cheer training. I made the varsity high school cheer team these first two years of my high school career and I hope to continue with them until I graduate in 2027. At my all star club I cheer on the level 3 team. While I only started dance at the age of 11, I advanced quickly, making alternate on a Worlds team in my third season. I’m excited to have made the competition dance team for my club and ready to perform on the Worlds stage this spring. I’ve taken on an aggressive academic schedule in preparation to major in behavioral and cognitive neuroscience. I’m very dedicated and hardworking and I’m excited to continue my recruiting journey.
