Lauren Rutzebeck '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been involved in multiple sports for many years’ lacrosse, gymnastics, soccer, rugby and softball. After experiencing all these sports, I found my passion to lie in playing softball. I love playing being part a softball team where I can not only use my skills and abilities to help the team reach its goals but can have the satisfaction of helping other players reach their goals. I play multiple softball positions mostly outfield, first base and pitcher. I play wherever the coach believes I can help the team. I believe my speed, hand/eye coordination and ball tracking skills are some of my best traits.

Although I have dabbed in pitching I have only within the last year truly dedicated myself to being a good pitcher. Although I have always been an accurate pitcher my speed is increasing along with my repertoire of pitches.  Between High School (Junior Varsity in 2020) and Club Ball (18U) I only see myself improving in all aspects of my game. I believe all my coaches would say I take educational instruction extremely well.  I don’t want to be just an average player, I’ll put the work in.

I currently hold a 3.7 grade point average and hope to be a NICU Doctor someday. I set high goals for myself both in my personal life as well as sports.
