Hi Coaches! I am Sophia Barnes, a 5'9" left handed attacker in the graduating class of 2021. I attend Winters Mill High School in Carroll County, Maryland, where I receive honors and recognition for my ability to thrive in the classroom while still competing athletically. I hold the role as a leader for my class, both athletically and academically. I have been a member of the varsity girls lacrosse team since freshman year, where I have been named an all county leading scorer. Along with that, I've competed with the girls soccer and basketball teams. Aside from my athletic successes, I have received honor roll status as well as being selected as a member of the National Honors Society to celebrate my academic achievements. To represent my ability to lead as a student, I was selected to be a Source of Strength Peer Leader and a Advisory Council Leader. As a student athlete, I have my academic and athletic priorities very organized. I hope this statement allowed you to gain more insight on me as a student athlete.
