My name is Anya, and my goal is to be part of a collegiate cheerleading team. Since switching from gymnastics to cheer in middle school, I have been passionate about cheerleading. I am a happy, uplifting, and supportive team player, always ready to help where needed and continually improving my skills.
I strive to maintain a positive environment for our team, promoting positivity and reality while avoiding and not participating in negative talk about others. I learn routines quickly, enjoy teaching others, and take critical feedback well. Additionally, I am able to provide constructive feedback in a non-confrontational manner. I have primarily been a backspot but am adaptable and willing to fill different roles as needed. My kind heart, grit, and never-give-up attitude make me resilient and determined. Academically, I am committed to being a focused student and balancing my studies with cheerleading.
Teaching gymnastics to children and adolescents has helped me grow as a person, improving my understanding of form and enhancing my leadership skills.
Through collegiate cheerleading, I aim to grow both as an athlete and a leader, contributing to my team’s success while developing my skills and character.
I believe my character, athletic skills, love of cheer and academic dedication make me a strong candidate for your team.
