Natalie Pratta '11 Recruiting Profile

I'm 5'6" and weigh 130 lbs. I'm a solid runner with fast feet. I tend to always move my feet whether I have the ball or not. I am an all around athlete but there's just something about field hockey that I can't live without. Although I swim and also play softball, it is field hockey that I want to pursue. It may be a little "late in the game" to be seen my a college coach but I can truly promise I would be a great asset to a solid team. I've grown to understand the game better and I continue to try new things. My high school coach started me as a Varsity Center Defender my sophomore year, although I could have played forward the team needed me as the stopper. I have a strong shot, so even though I played defense I had many opportunities on offensive corners. I've contributed tremendously with my high school team. Whether it be a summer league game or a regular seasonal game, our team is a winning team. I work hard in everything I do because without hard work, success will never happen. My senior year I accomplished 1st team all conference, 1st team All-State, and I was my team's MVP. I lead my team in all the cheers (before the games, and after practices). My hopes to play in college remain strong because I'm simply ready for the next level of play. I'm looking for a school with a competitive field hockey program. Although D1 would be amazing, a D2 or a D3 school, (around 17,000 students) is also something I am interested in. I'd like to play down in North or South Carolina, but something like Drexel, University of Delaware or West Chester University is also what I am looking for. The academic level is also very important to me. A good education is my priority. I'd like to go to school for Apparel Advertising/ Marketing. I'm not necessarily looking to start as a freshman but to practice everyday with the varsity team and have playing time. I know I'll have my time when the coach thinks I'm ready.
