My name is Haley Palmer and I am currently in 11th grade. I'm am beginning my 7th year of field hockey. My goal is to play Division I field hockey at the highest level, as well as obtaining an outstanding education to prepare me for my future. I believe my work ethic and ability to reach personal goals will serve me well In my efforts to attend college.
I have developed strong stick skills and field hockey IQ. As a defender I see the field very well, and I’m able to distribute the ball properly. In high pressured situation, I am able to remain calm and move the ball up field. My communication and leadership skills are strong both on and off of the field. I am sure that my coaches would agree that I am self motivated, very coachable, and always support my teammates and club.
My work ethic in field hockey has made a positive impact on my grades in school. I am more organized, able to manage my time effectively, and meet all classroom challenges. I also play lacrosse, run cross country, and volunteer after school to assist the preschool teacher with the students.
It is important for me to attend a college that is the right fit. I am willing to push my self in the classroom and on the field in order to become the best person and teammate I can be. My future is bright!
