Hi! My name is Sophia Hedgepeth, and I've been playing volleyball for four years. I became interested in volleyball because of my academic challenges. Volleyball offered me an escape from the world of school but helped me gain friendships. Though I strive to go D1 in volleyball, I'm also focused on accomplishing my dream of becoming a doctor. I play three varsity level sports in school to stay conditioned during the year and have maintained a 4.0 GPA and have joined National Honors Society. Many of my academic and school-wide accomplishments include: Being peer math, becoming athletics rep for my school, and participating in Model UN despite my club season. My college choices boil down to whether a school can support my learning disabilities while still giving me the competitive play I long for.
