I have been playing field hockey since 4th grade. Originally, I was a field player. Sophomore year was my first year as goalie. At an indoor tournament our goalie became unavailable last minute, so I stepped up as goalie for the first time at the tournament. We won first place at the tournament and I fell in love with the goalie position. I am constantly working to improve my skills since I had to learn the position so quickly. Bringing passion to the sport of field hockey is very important to me. It took a lot of discipline and effort to become the Class B NYS Champions, and I will continue to learn and apply these skills in order to become a better goalie, teammate, and person. The highlight of my goalie career so far, was winning the shootout in the Class B Semifinal game. It is so amazing to be able to play alongside such talented teammates, as we all help each other grow and excel.
