2022 SpotlightPersonal Statement
Hi I am Sydney Byrns and I have always dreamed about playing field hockey at the collegiate level. Not only do I love the sport, but I also love the attributes that come with playing a team sport. I am a leader and motivator for my other teammates, so that it is a positive environment filled with encouragement. This past fall my teammates and I pushed each other each practice, so that we could reach our goal of an undefeated season! I am a very determined player so when I learn a new skill, or adjustment I practice it many times so that I can perfect it. My love for field hockey only keeps growing because it has taught me numerous qualities that I now communicate in my everyday life.
