I started playing ice hockey after watching my older brother play and I wanted to be just like him. I've played ice hockey since I was six and have played with boys/girls on house league teams, travel teams, and when I was in 8th grade, I made my high school's girl's varsity hockey team in its inaugural season. In 7th grade, I started to play field hockey on our school's modified team. It was enlightning to know that I couldn't play field hockey left handed as I do in ice hockey! Field hockey came naturally to me and I credit my time in ice hockey for helping me develop as a field hockey player. I am strong with my stick, aggressive and have good vision of the field. I was nominated by my hockey coaches for the WNY Girl's Ice Hockey Federation Hasek Hero's Unsung Hero award and was honored to win. In addition to my atheletics, I have maintained an honor roll average for each semester of high school, been inducted in the National Honor Society, and have been a Scholar Athelete since 8th grade. I have created a healthy balance of all the things I love in life and would love to continue both in college; working toward a career I will love while playing sports that have been a huge a part of my life.
