My collegiate aspirations as a student athlete are oriented around being a team player, and becoming part of the athletic community at a university. Throughout my life, the people that I least expected to be a close friend, are those I have met on a sports team. And what a pleasant surprise and blessing it has been. Being on a team boosts my confidence, and overall has made me a better person, student, and of course player. If it weren't for teams, I would not have the relationships I do with people that are very important to me and my character. I admire the power a team has to allow athletes to work together, and connect on and off the field. Though i tend to struggle, I am a hardworking and determined student who works well under pressure and with the guidance of others that have a similar work ethic. I have been told that my personality enhances my play as an athlete, and my work in the classroom. I find great joy in taking on any and all opportunities, especially if I know it will be a challenge. I believe it is important to practice things that are challenging until it is done correctly, as setting and completing goals proves hard work, and the ability to accept responsibilities, actions, and mistakes.
