My passion for field hockey began the moment I touched a field hockey stick at the age of 4. Ever since then I could not get enough of the sport. I have been a member of a local club team since 2nd grade. I have played on my school’s high school varsity team since 6th grade. Playing with older girls has shaped me as a player and a person. Now, I am a leader of my high school team as a captain. This opportunity has taught me that perseverance and a good attitude can determine the difference in a win and a loss. My school team is small and inexperienced, but our positive attitude and grit have led us to a winning record. More recently, I have started traveling an hour and a half away from my home to participate in my club team, Charlotte Ambush. This has led me to tournaments all along the east coast and has helped me further develop my skills and passion for the sport. Every day I strive to get stronger, play smarter, and become a better player. I am interested in taking my field hockey to the collegiate level. I am looking for a program that will challenge me academically and athletically. My tenacity and desire to succeed would make me a great addition to your team!
