Although I started my athletic career as a soccer player, it only took a couple times with a field hockey stick in my hand for me to fall in love with the game. A mom of a friend started a local team when I was in fourth grade and we played in tournaments around my town. This first team soon turned into the Central Penn FHC where I played for the next five years. In December of 2018, I moved to X-Calibur FHC where I happily remain today.
My very first position was at left forward where I learned the importance of positioning off the post and always being ready for a pass or a deflection opportunity. I was moved to midfield as I grew into a more advanced player. Upon joining X-Calibur for the 2019 indoor season, I found myself playing defense for the first time. I am thankful for these experiences because I now feel comfortable anywhere on the field. Playing multiple positions has taught me how to see the field and to cover as players change positions due to game situations. I play to my strengths, work on my weaknesses and can be versatile in order to help my team. One of my biggest strengths is my coachability. I love to hear about my play with what I did well, but also what I need to work on.
My dream is to play at the collegiate level while also earning a great education. I am looking for a school that will challenge me academically as well as athletically. My major at this point is undecided. I have interests in both the business and the medical fields.
