Dear Prospective Coach, my name is Joshua Ruiz. I feel that I would be a good candidate for your team because want to make the most out of all of the opportunities that I'm given. I am looking for a school with good academics first, and football opportunities second. I graduate in 2021 and any teacher I've had at Polaris K-12 will tell you wholeheartedly that I am one of the best students that they've ever taught. They would say this because of my work ethic and my ability to gain trust of the people around me, as well as my willingness to learn new things and my ability to learn them quickly. I am different from most recruits because I don't just have sports as a background. However, I also play the piano, guitar, clarinet, and saxophone. Those have been useful to me because they are a way for me to stay sharp mentally. I also have experience in my school's student government as a Student Advisory Board (SAB) representative and student operational group member. Character-wise, I will never give up or quit, no matter how overmatched and I also put my teams needs over my own in order to win. My overall goal is to find a school where I can get both the academic and football opportunities that I have earned.
