Michael Gingerich '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Michael Tyler Gingerich, I was born on February 15, 1994, I am 6"2 and weigh 272lbs. My dream ever since the end of my freshman year in high school was for me to play football at the next level, at the highest possible division. My forty yard dash time is a 5.6, I have a 22.1 in. vertical, bench press at 255, squat is 430, and power clean is 215.  When I am introduced to new plays or ideas it may take a little bit of time for me to catch on or fully remember it. . If there are any player related issues or problems I tend to try and ignore it up front, but if it becomes too much of an issue than I will go and talk to the coaches about it. I am not looking for a "special" type of school, as in a fully male school, or a christian only school, do not care for the size of the school either, just for a school that is willing to let me play, I do not even care how far I have to travel. My sophmore year was my very first year of football, and I loved to play it, I was moved up from Junior Varsity to Varsity my sophmore and junior year. So I think that may technically be two years of experience (not inlcuding this upcoming season). I work just as hard as I play, when things need to get done I try my hardest to get them done, I strive and work to fix any problem I attain, if any. For example my Offensive Line coach, Jose Lucero, tells me that my problem is my feet, like running them through contact, so I am trying my best to fix this problem. Other than that he told me that I need to know my responibilties on who I need to block. I look forward to college football, it does not matter where, all that matters is me getting to play at the next level.
