Dear Coaches,
My name is Joshua Cox, a 2026 graduate student-athlete with a 4.08 GPA at Archmere Academy. As a true freshman, I played offensive guard and defensive end on the varsity football team, and it was my second year in contact football. Unfortunately, it was taken away around half of the season due to injury, hence the reason for my lackluster stats of 1.5 sacks, a few tackles, and some tackles for loss. Despite this, I made sure to come back in full effect in order to make up for that season with a max squat of 470 lbs, a 300 lbs bench, and a former 5.0 flat 40-yard dash. In addition to playing football, I throw shot-put and discus on varsity, breaking numerous school freshmen records. Outside of sports, I took a major part in being a part of the community by volunteering a considerable amount and advocating for diversity throughout the state. In school, I am what you could consider an academic weapon with my favorite subject being mathematics and I am interested in finance, agency, or law as my major in college.
I spent my entire life around the game of football. I have two uncles who’ve spent roughly 20 years working in the NFL and have taken full advantage of putting myself in the position to understand the discipline, hard work, and dedication to compete at the highest level. I dream of playing football at the collegiate level and entrust you to take me further. Therefore, I work every day to put myself in the position to do so.
Please check out my profile and links through the website for this upcoming sophomore year and thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
Best of luck to you and your team this year.
Sincerely,
Joshua Cox, Class of 2026
