Football is the best sport on Earth. Personally, football has allowed me to become an extremely hard-working individual. I have worked extremely hard this past year after breaking my ankle early sophomore year. Not only did I put on over 30 pounds, I got significantly stronger and faster. I increased my bench my 50 pounds, my squat up 60 pounds, and worked hard in the classroom in order to get straight A's. It was a very difficult time not being able to play football with my brothers, but I bounced back and had a great Junior year.
In my Junior year, I was named the Defensive Player of the Year for my team and was an All-Conference linebacker. Although my size does not play much to my advantage at the linebacker position, I am a hard-nosed player and love to hit. I believe I have the athletic capability of playing strong safety in college and will work hard to grow my skillset this offseason. I had three defensive touchdowns, all off interception.
