When I first played water polo freshman year, I immediately fell in love with the sport. Since then, I've worked as hard as I can by going to every practice and being a reliable member of the team that my coach can always count on. My goals for playing water polo in college are to work as hard as I can to improve myself in whatever role on the team I'm given and to get the opportunity to play for a school that would meet my academic and social needs. I'm a good candidate for any team because I'm extremely coachable and reliable, and I'm able to pick up on new skills pretty quickly. My academic record and test scores show that I can compete academically at any school and I'm ready to take on the challenge of being a scholar athlete in a college program that can use my skills. This year is especially challenging as I have been named a captain of our varsity team and am charged with leading the team through the unique challenges of a COVID-impacted season.
