Playing college football has always been a dream of mine. I started playing flag football when I was 5 years old and have continued to learn and grow as much as I could since then. I have enjoyed participating in other sports as well, but football is where my passion lies.
I pride myself in being a team leader and a role model for all the young kids in my community. I have been a strong asset to my team on both offense and defense. I am a very coachable player, willing to do whatever it takes. I strive to work hard on and off the field to be the best I can possibly be. This past season, I was awarded MVP Defensive Lineman and MVP Offensive Lineman of my high school team, as well as 1st team All-Conference Offensive Lineman and 1st Team All-Conference Defensive Lineman.
When I am not playing football, I am still working hard year-round to improve myself and build on my skills. I spend several hours a week in the weight room with a trainer, working to improve my strength and agility. This winter, our high school offered wrestling for the first time. I decided to join the team to learn new skills and stay in shape in the off season. With a lot of determination and dedication, I was a state qualifier in my first year of the sport. I am also playing rugby again this spring for my second year. In addition, I enjoy being part of our school’s bass fishing team and trap shooting team. In my spare time, I enjoy hunting, fishing, and farming with my family.
Off the field, I work hard in the classroom to maintain a high GPA. I am a member of the National Honor Society, am on the high honor roll, and received an award for the IL HS Football Coach’s All-State Academic Team in fall 2023.
I am open to all opportunities that would allow me to get the best education and play in the highest level of competition possible. Although I am still undecided on a major, I do know that I want to attend a college where I can push myself and succeed on the field as well as in the classroom to make my future the best that it can be.
