Personal Statement

My name is David Boan. Since I was little, everyone has always mistaken me for being older than I am. I have always been bigger than my peers. Currently, I am 6' 5" 220 lbs and have not finished growing. My football career started when I was 7 years old, and I haven't looked back since. As a freshmen in high school not only did I play for the freshmen team and sophomore team, I was also approached by the head coach to dress for varsity. This was a huge honor because in the town that I live in, that's not the norm.

I am a dedicated athlete who has played many positions offensively and defensively. My main focus now is long snapping. I have had quality training from elite coaches, one from the college level and two from the NFL level. Through practice and high quality training, presently I am ranked #4 in the country through Rubio long snapping. Also through Rubio long snapping, I received the most improved long snapper award in 2017. I am working diligently to make it to the top spot.

My school of choice would be one that offers academics in engineering. My goals as an athlete are to be an asset on and off the field each year that I am in attendance. I want to share victories with my team and I want to share my desire to be the best that I can be for myself and my school.

My dream is to play football at each and every level there is, including the NFL!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
