Adeleen Dunker '21 Recruiting Profile

I am very passionate about volleyball and it brings me so much joy. I want to attend a college that allows me to pursue volleyball and academics at a high level, while still keeping the joy in the game. 

I am a driven and dedicated individual who will always give 100%, and I expect my teammates to do the same. I am always early to practice to get extra reps in and make sure I am warmed up and ready to set my teammates. I even stay after practice when my teammates want to get extra hitting reps in. 

I believe mental toughness is one of the most important concepts in volleyball. One of my best characteristics is being able to shake off mistakes easily. I stay even-keeled for my teammates, and I make sure to prove myself with the next ball. I am drawn to the setting position because of the fast thinking. I am able to make a quick decision and move onto making the next one. I would describe myself as a student of the game, and I am always looking to increase my volleyball IQ.
